Warwickshire Music - Instrumental and Vocal Lessons

Warwickshire Music Instrumental and Vocal Lessons

We offer all pupils the opportunity to enrol for instrumental or singing lessons in weekly group sessions led by a Warwickshire Music teacher.

Warwickshire Music will provide a free instrument for the first year for all pupils (subject to availability).

Learning to play a musical instrument or learning to sing could be the beginning of a lifelong hobby or career.  Music and playing can “improve academic attainment in areas such as numeracy, literacy and language” (Henley Review 2011) and help develop social skills, concentration, self-discipline and self-esteem. Above all else it is a highly rewarding activity and great fun.

We are able to offer a range of instruments and lessons. The lessons available are:

Violin, Cello, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Keyboard, Guitar, Drum and Singing

Pupils can choose from an individual or group lesson. The lessons will be timetabled during the school day in the Music practice rooms.

Subsidies are available for pupils in receipt of Free School Meals. Warwickshire Music will also provide a free instrument for the first year and beyond for pupils in receipt of Free School Meals (subject to availability).

If you would like to know more about this opportunity please collect an information pack from Mrs Hewitt in S012 or from reception. All lessons are booked directly with Warwickshire Music Hub online https://www.warwickshiremusichub.org/home. Please book as soon as possible to ensure your child has a place to begin lessons in September.

If you have any questions please contact Emma Egginton (Assistant Principal) via email Emma.Egginton@MidlandAT.co.uk
