Be Kind and Aim for
The George Eliot Academy is a place where both students and staff feel a real sense of belonging. We are passionate about our vision to develop successful pupils who are independent, well-rounded, behave with integrity, and most importantly live happy and fulfilled lives. At The George Eliot Academy, we provide a caring environment which develops and nurtures the values, skills and attributes for creating good citizens with a strong moral purpose, who make positive contributions to their society. We aim to provide our students with opportunities and experiences, that engenders in them the love of learning and equips them to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing society and are ready and willing to grasp the opportunities available to them.
We have been so impressed with our Year 6 pupils today who visited for their first day of induction. They are already showing their STAR values and we cannot wait to welcome them all again tomorrow.
Year 9 have been exploring how the characters in An Inspector Calls might represent the 7 deadly sins. Lots of interesting ideas being discussed. @GeorgeEliotAcad #AIC #Geraldistheworst https://t.co/LXYG8hQIp8

I think the home learning from GE has been excellent and must have taken copious amounts of planning in a very short time. Thanks you for all of your hard work for our children in this unprecedented time.Read More

Excellently led school with knowledgeable teaching staff who provide quality teaching. A well rounded curriculum supported by excellent resources. My child has an effective level of scaffolding for his ability and is adequately challenged and supported even in areas he excels at. During the pandemic, the level of support and provision has been second to none! Live lessons have proven to be effective due to teachers addressing misconceptions immediately and giving feedback. Parent meetings on the School Cloud were brilliant. To be able to speak to teachers directly was beneficial to both myself and my child. The organisation and timings were good - no waiting around to speak to the next teacher. Communication is always excellent. Staff take time to contact parents with concerns as well as praise and congratulations. My child has anxiety and the majority of staff are very accommodating, offering support and advice which puts him at ease. A youth worker has been appointed after identifying the issue which I found to be very helpful. A big thank you to all at The George Eliot School for making my child's school life a great experience. And a big congratulations for providing great provision during this unprecedented time.Read More
